Our Wedding

Our story starts the way a lot of modern love stories do—online. At the time, both of us were pretty over dating. Expectations were low, patience was even lower… but somehow, we found each other anyway. Our first conversations were about Chris being a photographer and Rebecca proudly admitting she was a terrible photographer and videographer. It was easy, funny, and just different enough to keep things interesting. When we met in person at Loch Bar in Boca, Chris walked in thinking, this might be the one. Rebecca, on the other hand, was a little more skeptical—her first thought was, this guy is definitely a player. (She’ll admit now… she was wrong.) What changed everything wasn’t one big moment, but something much simpler—Chris was steady. From the very beginning, he never gave Rebecca a reason to question him or what they were building. No guessing games, no doubts. Just consistency, honesty, and showing up. From there, things started to fall into place quickly. One of our favorite early memories was a Valentine’s Day trip to New York City—after Rebecca won an all-expenses-paid getaway to see the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary concert. It felt like something out of a movie. And if that wasn’t enough, one of the most unforgettable moments of that trip was singing “Pink Pony Club” together at the piano bar Don’t Tell Mama—loud, carefree, and completely in our own world. We bonded instantly over our shared love of musicals, travel, and making the most out of every experience. Whether it’s a big trip or just a night out, we’ve always found a way to turn it into an adventure. Somewhere along the way, things shifted from fun and easy to something deeper. It wasn’t dramatic—it just felt right. Solid. Like we had found our person. And then, of course, there are the moments that really define us. Like the time Rebecca accidentally said, “Love ya, bye!” while Chris was walking out the door. He turned around immediately, came back, and said, “I’ve been waiting to say that!”—a moment neither of us will ever forget. Or Chris randomly asking one day, “Are you my bird?” As strange as it sounds, that was the moment we both knew… this was serious. And we can’t forget one of our favorite inside jokes—when a beautifully planned romantic setup at the Boca Resort spa pool greeted us as “Mr. &amp; Mrs. Kakol.” Close enough, right? Or our secret language, “Bu Blah Bly!!!” Since then, life has been full of adventures, laughter, and a lot of travel—one of our favorite things to do together. Whether we’re exploring somewhere new or just enjoying time at home, we’ve built something that feels fun, easy, and completely us. At the end of the day, our story isn’t about one perfect moment—it’s about all the little ones. The laughs, the surprises, the trips, the jokes, and the feeling that we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be… together. And we’re just getting started.

My sister is truly one of a kind and there was never a question that she would be my Maid of Honor. She is quirky, energetic, and always the life of the party. Whether she's making everyone laugh, organizing a gathering, or turning an ordinary moment into a memorable one, she brings joy wherever she goes.

Most importantly, she's not just my sister—she's one of my very best friends. I am so grateful to have her standing beside me on one of the most important days of my life.

Even though she's quite a bit younger than I am, she keeps me feeling young, adventurous, and ready for whatever comes next. Taylor brings a special energy that makes everything better. I'm so grateful to have her standing by my side on this special day.

Theo is Rebecca’s adorable nephew and our honorary expert in cuteness! Full of energy, smiles, and charm, he’s guaranteed to steal the show (and probably a few hearts) as he makes his way down the aisle. We couldn’t imagine our wedding day without this little ray of sunshine leading the way.

Mark and I have been friends since 1988 when we were photographers on a cruise ship sailing from Puerto Rico. Our claim to fame is that  we snuck into the filming of a dance scene in the Pet Shop Boys video for Domino Dancing in old San Juan . We appear for about half a second  but we made the cut!

Reservations can be made over the phone up to one year in advance, and online reservations become available six months in advance. Reservations must be made no later than Friday, May 14, 2027. Celebrate with us in polished, effortless style. Think of your favorite outfit for a beautiful summer evening by the lake—elevated yet comfortable. Dresses, jumpsuits, chic pant suits, dressy separates, suits, sport coats, or button-downs with dress pants are all wonderful choices. Think Lakeside Elegance! A friendly reminder for our ladies: The ceremony will take place on a grassy lawn, so we recommend flats, wedges, or block heels for a more comfortable stroll down the lawn. The reception will be indoors, and we’ll be enjoying both spaces throughout the evening!
